Children's classes meet in the Education Building, most easily accessed from the courtyard by the back parking lot entrance.
Preschool (3-5 Years) - Room 110
Early Elementary (Kinder - 1st Grade) - Room 202
Upper Elementary (2nd - 5th grade) - Room 203

All Children's classes are based on Bible Study lessons. Classes use the Grow Proclaim Serve! Curriculum which promotes fun while it reinforces the faith learning told in the Bible story, provides age appropriate activities.

Grow, Proclaim, and Serve! is a Bible-based Sunday school program will nourish and enrich a child’s faith from birth through tweens. In doing so, your child will learn to proclaim the good news of God’s love and serve God and neighbor.

Grow, Proclaim, and Serve! provides for both you and your child:

  • Age-appropriate learning materials
  • Activities that engage children and reinforce Bible stories
  • Self-directed activities designed to develop independent learning skills
  • Take-home activities that bring the Bible story to your child’s daily life

Children's Church - during 10:50 worship hour

Children are invited to take part of our 10:50 Worship Hour during which Pastor Marilyn Meeker-Williams gathers children to share a lesson with them. Following the Children’s Message, the children (3 years – 5th grade) are excused to join our adults and youth in story time and crafts. Our Children's Worship follows the lectionary text, so that children and parents will often hear from the same text.  We use Seasons of the Spirit as a guide for leading our children.

Children return to the sanctuary to share communion with their families. On Sundays when communion is not served, parents can retrieve their children from Room 103 of the main building.

Children in Worship

Children of all ages are also welcome to remain in the Sanctuary with their parents.  Parents can determine which situation works best for their family. Childcare is available during Worship Service  for infants up to Pre-K.

Children's Choir

The children's choir brightens our lives with special performances all during the year. They are a great part of the St. Mark's Christmas Pageant as well. Children from kindergarten through fifth grade are welcome! Rehearsals are seasonal before Sunday School at 9:30am in the choir room.

Vacation Bible School

This fun-filled week-long ministry is held each summer for children. The program is in the evenings so all parents can participate with their children.
