Adult Sunday School Classes

All classes are held in the education (west) wing of the church. From the narthex and sanctuary area, turn right at the short set of stairs, go past the office area and the parlor.  The 1st floor classrooms are on the same level as the office. The 2nd floor classrooms are up the stairs by the parlor, or take the elevator at the end of the hallway.

New Member Classes

New Member Classes are held quarterly in 4 sessions covering scripture, worship, fellowship, and history of the United Methodist Church and St. Mark's, in preparation for membership. Please contact the office or pastor for additional information.

M2 (Room 210)

The Men’s Bible Study group is a gathering of men who want to help each other in our faith journeys.  Our studies are typically Bible based, but we do use other literature from time to time. Right now we are studying the book of Revelations. We use the open discussion format rather than a teacher/class format.  Our class age range is quite broad. Visitors are always welcome. We also set aside the second Saturday morning of each month for a mission work day.  For March we repaired potholes and cleaned up the parking lot.

New Pilgrims (Room 203)

We join together in fellowship, study, and service. We seek new ideas and new perspectives on old ideas, through contemporary Bible study and consideration of current issues.  Participation is encouraged, both in discussion and study leadership.  Members express their views freely, and all learn because of it.  If you are ready for new ideas on Sunday morning, this is the class for you! We are currently studying "The Third Jesus: The Christ We Cannot Ignore," by Deepak Chopra.

Seekers (Room 109)

An intimate group of old and new friends of all ages who love, support, and encourage one another as we study God's Word. We pray that our study of the Lord’s Word will transform our lives by renewing our minds and bringing us closer to Jesus Christ. The study is from the International Lesson Series: Adult Bible Studies and includes daily devotionals and topics of interest to the group. This class is a "family " of Christians who enjoy fellowship and friendship.

Triple M (Room 105)

Mature adult class. This is a spiritual group of adults ranging in age from 50+ to 90+ and welcomes new participants any time. The study is from the International Lesson Series: Adult Bible Studies and includes daily devotionals and topics of interest to the group. This class is a "family " of Christians who enjoy fellowship and friendship.

Parents of Young Children ( Room 211)

In the middle of raising children this group makes time on Sunday to reconnect with other Christian parents. Beginning each Sunday with Prayers and Concerns, then we tackle random "questions" to spark discussion. Ending in prayer.

Other Study Groups are almost always available.

Please feel free to visit any of our classes or study groups to find the group that fits for you! Or contact the pastor to discuss the opportunities for learning about our faith.
