St. Mark’s mission is to nurture people of all ages in the Christian faith and to help them practice the disciplines of discipleship. We offer ministries and special events for youth to learn to live as Christians, while enjoying friends and fun activities. Here are some activities we have planned for this year.
Lakeview Summer Camp July 1-5, 2013.
Summer Church Camp is for kids entering 4th grade through just-graduated high school seniors. Texas Annual Conference summer camps in the United Methodist tradition provide sacred time, space and community where people can experience the life transforming grace of Jesus Christ that continues the growth in discipleship within a local church.
BIG House is for youth who have completed the 6th through the 8th grade. These youth come together with the help of adults to work on churches and homes of those who are in need, and are unable to do the work themselves. BIG HOUSE is a very busy and spiritually fulfilling 4 days for these junior high students. July 25-28, 2013
UM ARMY is for youth who have completed 8th grade through high school (including new grads). These youth participants spend the week providing free home repairs for low-income, elderly, and disabled homeowners in the surrounding area. July 28 - Aug 3, 2013
Youth Week August 18-25, 2013
Youth Week is for St Mark’s is for youth entering 6th grade through high school (including new grads). We close out the summer and spend the week in learning, devotional and prayer time, service and fun for the fun of it, culminating in leading worship for the congregation on Sunday morning.
